Good morning everyone, Kara here.

So, Barry and I and Alex were having this conversation last night -- and you know Barry and I are the right ones here, right? About how everyone makes resolutions, and-or should, because new better year, new better you? What with it being the new year and all of us getting to be here, I think we should share our resolutions.

And then we can help each other keep to them, too! And if you don't have some, you can make retroactive resolutions right now, or we can help you find one or two.

It's still strange, looking at this world's Kara.
Not Overgirl. Not in any way.
This is a sweet young woman who radiates nothing but goodness and light. Inner strength.

Okay. He can play along, a beer held lightly in one hand. "To get home to Leo. Finish that garden I was planting. Take care of my friends." Simple things. Nothing as grand as overthrowing the Reich because it was those little moments that made their lives worthwhile.

[Resolutions are odd concepts. Oliver remembers his life before the League, New Years parties that ended in champage, skin and warm bodies tangled in beds. He never really made them, even back then.

But okay. He'll try this.] To be better.
Protect the city but.. not to kill as often.

[A sidelong glance at the man sitting beside him. That was the right resolution to make, right?]

[The man beside him is much more concerned about how they got here and is half listening.]

She'll even raise you a cheers with the glass of whiskey in her hand. ]

[She isn't the Sara he remembers, but there are echoes of her and Oliver inclines his glass with a wry smile of his own.] I did say less rather than none at all.

Small pleasures in a world home sideways. It's what keeps us sane. [A small shrug. It is what it is and he leans forward, focused on Kara.] That sounds nice. I'd love to hear about them.

[a nostalgic smile as he begins to sing. All the old standards he raised them with. Maybe that'll help reach him somehow.
Even if it doesn't, Joe won't give up trying.]

[ He hums along with Joe, so at least there's the possibility that he understands Joe, even if the reverse isn't true. ]

We are where we aren't. She's given us all bad luck.

[And there's a surge of hope hearing Barry hum along. Joe doesn't know how else to bridge that gulf between them. So he picks another song before trailing off.]

We're where we're supposed to be.
And I'll be right here when you're ready to come home Barry.
