[ Another day, another breacher. This time, pitching out a battle-worn and torn version of Barry Allen that goes sprawling into the cortex like he's been literally thrown through the breach. And maybe he was. Either way, she scrambles back to feet that are only half supportive, trying to get back to and through the breach before it closes.

He is not even a little successful. ]

Well. It's not not correct, even if it's not entirely correct either. "We were protecting Iris. He killed the others, I can't be here, Joe." He couldn't sound more dazed and out of it if he tried, and a closer look will show one of his pupils is completely blown. One of his arms is scraped raw, bruising fast. Cuts on his back, some quickly blackening bruises. He's very obviously been in quite a fight.

It's that blown pupil that has Joe worried and he thumbs the intercom, hollering for any of their current doctors to get their ass to medical. He can handle the basics but these injuries are hell and gone from what he can take care of.

"Barr, stay still all right? We're getting you help. Iris is fine. She's safe, I promise you."

Maybe it's the fact that it's Joe, maybe the adrenaline crash is making things finally sink in, but he hears 'safe' and actually hears it. "If she's okay, it doesn't matter. What happens to me. Does it?"

Joe's expression is suitability horrified as he cups the uninjured side of his face in one hand. "Of course it matters Barry. It always matters. Breathe. We're gonna get you patched up, okay?"

"We'll take care of you son."

Relaxing isn't really an order of the day, but he does try this whole 'breathing' thing. Closing his eyes for a moment. "If she's okay, I shouldn't be here. Unless..." Opening his eyes wide. "Oh God. Is he okay?"

"What do you mean you shouldn't be here? Barr who are you talking about?" This is another one of those conversations where Joe is pretty certain that most of the pertinent details are escaping him. But this is his son and he's going to do everything in his power to try and sort this out.

And Barry's going to do his best to explain, even through the panic and the pain and god only knows what else. "He went back. He created time remnants to fight Savitar. Us. He made us." He doesn't know why Joe doesn't remember, maybe that breach took him too far back or to another Earth entirely.

Now that Joe understands and it starts to click.

Remnant or no this is still his son, still Barry and he cups his jaw again to maintain his focus. "The original Barry is all right. So is Iris. I don't know what that means for you, you know science and time travel isn't exactly my thing."

"But you are still my son. You are still Barry Allen. So we're gonna get you patched up and maybe one of the others can explain where you are and how."

If anyone was going to get through to him, it was going to be Joe. He hears the words, and they click. Or at the very least they get through enough that he can start to calm down, about getting home about Iris. At least there's that.

Of course, that leaves room for him to start feeling the inventory of injuries. "...I think something's wrong with my eye."

And with that Joe cups his jaw again, keeping Barry's gaze focused on him. He's calming down and for now that's a good enough start. "Okay Barr. Okay. We got a few doctors here now. Caitlin, Harry, even your Dad." A beat to stave off any questions. "I know, I know. It won't make sense."

Joe offers a wry smile. "But we got plenty of people who can help you make sense of it. Just know that you're safe all right? I'm here son."

And Joe is right to stave off those questions, he has so many. But even he knows that right now is probably not the time for them. Except for one, apparently, as he waits for someone to come and fix him up: "...why is Mick Rory here?"

"That's a very good question," a quirk of a smile. "He's here with some of the Legends. Sara Lance, even Leonard Snart's been seen lurking around."

"This is some kind of central hub, some nexus point from what I've been able to pick up."

"That's...I guess that makes sense." Wincing at the pain in his arm. "...Snart's dead."

"Yeah well don't go reminding him. He's been a pain in everyone's ass since he got here." Joe's smile is only vaguely exasperated as he helps him free of what's left of his jacket. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up before I have to leave you with the pros." His touch is gentle and sure as he works. While Joe might not be a doctor, he knows plenty about cleaning up injuries and he's going to do his damndest for his son.

Other son.
Whatever.
It's still Barry and that means he's family.
